A major winter storm has impacted the entire region. How much longer will it last? How much snow and sleet will fall? Snow was heavy at times into Sunday evening before beginning to mix with some sleet and freezing rain in the far south.

The 8.4 inches of snow recorded in Cincinnati breaks the previous record of 6.9 inches set in 1977, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington. A heavy mix of precipitation is expected Monday, with forecasters predicting an additional 2 to 4 inches of snow in portions of Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky and Southeast Indiana.

Although conditions have seemingly improved on many of the main highways, side streets might still be worse for wear as crews prioritize major roads.
