CB Deommodore Lenoir, on the heels of signing a five-year, $92 million contract extension, discussed his long road to this point -- one that included an ill-advised viral video and subsequent hit to coach Kyle Shanahan's son's college tuition.

The 49ers also signed running back Patrick Taylor Jr. to the practice squad and released running back KeShawn Vaughn. Taylor was waived to make room for Christian McCaffrey. Taylor has played in eight games and has seven carries for 25 yards and has 77 snaps on special teams.

The San Francisco 49ers have long viewed cornerback Deommodore Lenoir as one of their franchise cornerstones. They are now paying him like it.
