Huawei Technologies plans to begin mass shipments of its advanced 910C artificial intelligence chip to Chinese customers as early as next month, two people familiar with the matter said.

Some shipments of the 910C, which is said to offer performance comparable to Nvidia's H100 chip, have already been made.

The release later this year is the latest maneuver between China and the U.S. as they try to control the flow of powerful AI chips.
