It was a long Saturday for North Carolina and head coach Mack Brown, as the Tar Heels gave up 70 points in a loss to James Madison. Then, after the game finished, it was reported that Brown told the Tar Heels team that he would leave if things weren’t getting straightened out.

Brown reportedly offered his resignation following Saturday’s loss. However, ESPN reported that Brown was asked to continue his head coaching tenure. At 73, Brown is already a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.

JMU has 418 yards and scored on six of its ten first-half drives. Dukes quarterback Alonzo Barnett has 288 passing yards, three passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns, while the JMU defense also returned a blocked punt for a touchdown.
