As measles cases in the U.S. and around the world rise, New York is warning its residents to take precautions before traveling to areas experiencing an outbreak. The New York Department of Health's advisory says people should be fully vaccinated against measles at least two weeks before departing.

The Tennessee Department of Health confirmed three additional measles cases in Middle Tennessee on Tuesday, less than two weeks after the region reported its first case. One of the new cases confirmed Tuesday is related to Tennessee's first confirmed case on March 21. No additional details are available about Tennessee’s positive cases.

KENT COUNTY, Mich. – Michigan has confirmed its second measles case of 2025 in an adult in Kent County. The health department said the infected adult had recently traveled abroad before returning to the U.S. and traveling between Michigan and New Jersey.

Oklahoma is reporting one new confirmed measles case. The agency provided a notice for a public setting exposure site at Luigi’s Italian Restaurant & Lounge in Weatherford from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on March 19. As of Tuesday, Oklahoma has reported eight confirmed measles cases and two probable cases.

The notice comes a day after the HSE issued an “urgent public health alert” about a suspected measles case on the Dublin Connolly to Sligo train last Friday. Members of the public may have been exposed to measles while travelling for 15 minutes or more in carriage D of the service, which departed Dublin at 5.05pm on March 28th, the HSE said.
