The New England Patriots now have the No. 1 selection in the 2025 NFL draft following their loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, along with the New York Giants’ 45-33 win over the Indianapolis Colts over the weekend. The Patriots, Tennessee Titans and Giants all round out the top three with 3-13 records on the year.

We’ve often spotlighted just how badly the Los Angeles Chargers ripped off the New England Patriots in the draft trade that saw Jim Harbaugh and general manager Joe Hortiz trade up to select wide receiver Ladd McConkey.

Ladd McConkey unfortunately appears on the list with a toe issue that kept him out of practice entirely. He was also joined on the sideline by defensive tackle Poona Ford, wideout
