Dallas Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison says he miscalculated the depth of love his club's fans had for Luka Doncic before the trade that sent the young superstar to the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis.

The chants started shortly after Mavericks general manager Nico Harrison stunningly dealt Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers in early February and have continued up until the end of the 2024-25 season, with the Mavs getting eliminated from postseason contention last week.

To be clear, in no way was Harrison’s end-of-season media availability Monday a mea culpa for his still-shocking trade of Luka Doncic, but there was less defiance and more introspection and accountability than that disastrous roundtable six days earlier.
