Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane sparked a controversy on Thursday by comparing actor Saif Ali Khan with “garbage” and rasing questions on the stabbing incident.

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan left a hospital in India’s financial capital Mumbai on Tuesday, less than a week after he suffered knife injuries in a scuffle with an intruder at his house, local media reported.

Minister Nitesh Rane expressed his opinion and asked if Saif Ali Khan was really attacked with a knife. Nitesh Rane said that Supriya Sule and Jeetendra Awad never worried about Hindu artists as they are only concerned about some of the artists.

Mumbai Police officials arrested Bangladeshi national Shariful Fakir for attacking Saif with a knife and they are currently investigating the case.

Mumbai: The Bangladeshi national arrested for assaulting Saif Ali Khan managed to enter the actor's residence in Bandra, Mumbai, by climbing over the compound wall. According to the police, he found the security guards asleep at the time of the attack.

Saif Ali Khan has been discharged from the hospital after recovering from an attack at his Mumbai residence. The incident involved a Bangladeshi national, who is currently under police custody for interrogation.
