Samsung’s big Galaxy S25 launch is right around the corner. The first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025 is confirmed for January 22 at 1PM ET in San Jose, CA, where Samsung’s “Next Big Thing” (to borrow a 14-year-old marketing slogan) will be revealed.

Registrations are already open, but when can you pre-order the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, and when will it go on sale?

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 teasers are in high gear right now, with its January 22 Unpacked event approaching fast. Yesterday, the company unveiled upcoming Galaxy AI enhancements for its Sketch-to-Image tool. It also released a short teaser showcasing a seamless, conversational Galaxy AI experience set to debut on the next-generation flagships.

There’s also a picture of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, complete with a quad-lens camera, a flat screen and frame, tiny bezels, an S Pen stylus, and camera rings that seem to match the frame color this time rather than the rear of the phone.

That leads us to pre-orders. The official pre-order process isn't live yet, but it will likely go live during or right after the event on Wednesday. However, on Samsung's website, you can reserve a spot in line (so to speak) for some potential savings:

Samsung announced a new Galaxy Trade-In Program a few days before the big Galaxy S25 launch event, which is great news for loyal customers.

Samsung has teased unexpectedly-advanced AI features for the Galaxy S25 series, depicting an assistant taking multiple complex requests at once.

On the bottom of the front screen, we can see a One UI 7 / Galaxy AI feature that Samsung is yet to fully announce. The "Now Brief" bar will show you notifications designed specifically for you. It takes information from all of your apps and Galaxy AI summarises and presents important aspects as brief alerts.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be revealed just a few days from now at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, now confirmed for 22 January at 6 pm.

Samsung will launch its Galaxy S25 lineup on January 22, featuring the S25 Ultra with a 6.9-inch display, Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, and a 200MP camera. The S24 Ultra, released last year, has similar specs but a slightly smaller display and different chipset.
