It has been many years since we last heard anything about a new Bloodborne game, despite there clearly being demand for one.

Sony has had no problem remastering games for PS5, whether that's Demon's Souls at launch or even The Last of Us: Part II Remastered last year. However, Bloodborne continues to go untouched and still hasn't received a PC port. Former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida has a theory about why that might be.

Fans have long called for From and PlayStation to revisit the critically acclaimed action RPG, which was directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and published by Sony in 2015, in either a PS5 remaster or a PC version.
