USDA Announces Recall of More Than 24,000 Pounds of Frozen Foods Sold at Aldi
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced a recall of more than 24,000 pounds of a popular frozen Aldi product because it may be contaminated with a foreign material. Aldi’s frozen Casa Mamita Chicken & Cheese Taquitos have been recalled after metal pieces were found in the food.

A consumer’s teeth got injured by metal inside frozen food recalled from Aldi stores
“The problem was discovered after the firm notified USDA-Food Safety Inspection Service that it received a consumer complaint reporting that a piece of metal was found in the frozen chicken and cheese taquito product,” the USDA’s recall notice stated. “Another consumer reported to FSIS to have a dental injury from the product.”
