Adrian Meronk wants to get to Oakmont for the U.S. Open. The road might have started in Riyadh. He won his first LIV Golf event in Saudi Arabia’s capital just three days after the USGA published new criteria that gives LIV players a path to the U.

Last week the USGA announced a pathway into the U.S. Open for a LIV player via the league’s points standings and the R&A followed suit.

The British Open, the final major championship of the year, has joined the U.S. Open in opening more doors for LIV golfers.
