Wizards add Marcus Smart in multi-team deal with Grizzlies, Kings
Veteran guard Marcus Smart has been traded to the Washington Wizards in a three-team deal with the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings, the teams announced after Thursday’s trade deadline. Smart won Kia Defensive Player of the Year with the Boston Celtics during the 2021-22 season.
The Wizards somehow gave up peanuts to get Marcus Smart, Colby Jones, and a 2025 first-round pick from the Grizzlies.
