The Blue Jays lost one of their outfielder to a scary injury suffered as a result of a collision with the outfield wall in a spring training game Tuesday.

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, Monday's Spring Training game between the Detroit Tigers and Toronto Blue Jays has been canceled. This is the first Tigers home spring training game that has been canceled due to inclement weather since 2016.

In his first at-bat on Sunday, Barger took a Garrett Crochet pitch off the hand and was forced to exit the game. It was ruled a foul ball off the knob of the bat, but it evidently caught a piece of Barger's hand, making him unable to finish the at-bat. The Blue Jays have since announced Barger has a hand contusion, which caused his exit.

Toronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Chris Bassitt is the team's honourary bat boy after coming in last place in their fantasy football league, joining former member of the Blue Jays Tim Mayza who served a similar punishment last season.
