An analytics firm has handed Microsoft the games publishing crown. With almost half a billion in spending, Microsoft's multiplatform strategy is paying off for Xbox, at least according to this analysis.

$465 million was spent on Microsoft games over December, making the company the world’s biggest publisher across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

According to Amphere, Microsoft was by far the biggest video game publisher in the world in December, thanks to Activision Blizzard.
