Idina Menzel is 'emotional' over returning to her roots by starring in her new Broadway musical, 'Redwood,' which is performing at the same theater she made her debut nearly 30 years ago.

A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical announced late Saturday that it will play its final performance Feb. 23, after opening on Broadway Nov. 11. The news came as the musical saw the lowest gross of its run last week, at $479,348, and the show played to a capacity of 65 percent at Studio 54.

The annual winter Broadway Week 2-for-1 ticket promotion – it’s actually several weeks, but no one’s complaining – arrived January 21, and as usual the promotion took a bite into grosses, with total attendance holding steady from the previous week but receipts dropping 11%.

The Lost Boys, A New Musical is set to arrive on Broadway in spring 2026 at the Palace Theatre. The musical will feature a score by The Rescues, direction by Tony Award winner Michael Arden ( Parade, Maybe Happy Ending ), and a book by David Hornsby, a writer and producer on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Chris Hoch.

The Lost Boys, a musical adaptation of the classic 1987 vampire film, will arrive in Broadway in spring 2026 at the Palace Theatre.
