Defenseman Miro Heiskanen has been activated from long-term injured reserve and could return to the Dallas Stars lineup for the first time in 3 1/2 months.

Petrovic, who spent a large portion of the season in the AHL, scored the game-winning goal against the Jets to help give the Stars a 2-1 series lead. The goal needed a lengthy replay review before being ruled official, but it counted nevertheless.

A similar scenario played out in the Western Conference as the Edmonton Oilers also gained a 3-1 series lead thanks to a 3-0 win versus the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 4.

The Dallas Stars left American Airlines Center on Sunday with a 5-2 win over the Winnipeg Jets and a two-games-to-one lead in their second-round playoff series. During the second period, Stars forward Mason Marchment drove toward the Winnipeg net with what looked like a pretty solid scoring chance in front of him.

For the first time in awhile, the Dallas Stars have an unstoppable scorer, and that has changed their offensive identity.

It was a far less dramatic game in Winnipeg as the Jets handily defeated the Dallas Stars, 4-0, to tie their second-round series at one game apiece. Jets forward Nikolaj Ehlers recorded a goal and an assist, while goaltender Connor Hellebuyck stopped all 22 shots that he faced for his first shutout this postseason.
