As the rift between the families of President Ferdinand Marcos and former president Rodrigo Duterte deepened, social media posts falsely claimed the archipelago nation's leader had appealed to the International Criminal Court (ICC) to jail his predecessor.

The quad committee of the House of Representatives will not provide the International Criminal Court (ICC) with copies of affidavits and transcriptions of testimonies of witnesses and resource persons in its investigation on extrajudicial killings during the Duterte administration.
