The Amazon Kindle Colorsoft has received its first significant discount, but only if you are a Prime Member. The regular price in the United States is $279.99, but is now available for $229.99, a savings of $50.

The Colorsoft is Amazon's first foray into color E Ink devices. You can finally highlight your favorite books in multiple colors which should be great for students and will add new depth for fans of Kindle's social highlighting features.

As of Jan. 17, the Amazon Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition (32GB) is on sale for $229.99 for Amazon Prime members. This is 18% off its list price of $279.99. Revealed last October, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is a sleek new e-reader that lets you enjoy all of your favorite novels and comics in color.

Just the other day we have seen Amazon put up a refurbished but 'like new' Kindle Scribe for sale for 20 percent less. The company is now offering its newest e-reader, the Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition for 18 percent less.

The Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition is Amazon's first and only color e-reader, released this winter. It has a seven-inch screen, an ad-free lock screen, a speedy performance, and a waterproof build.
