Joel McHale has officially been cast as Sidney's husband, Mark, in Scream 7, despite previously implying she married Patrick Dempsey's Mark Kincaid.

In another surprise twist for "Scream," Neve Campbell's Sidney Prescott isn't married to Mark Kincaid, but rather Mark Evans.

Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has a husband, and it’s not Detective Mark Kincaid (Patrick Dempsey) of Scream 3, as has been speculated online. Set to play her spouse, Mark Evans, in Scream 7 is none other than Joel McHale, who’s currently in production on the film in Atlanta.

Joel McHale joins a stacked cast for Scream 7 that includes returning franchise stars Courtney Cox, Mason Gooding, and Neve Campbell. Other newcomers to the iconic horror franchise are McKenna Grace, Isabel May, Celeste O’Connor, and Asa Germann.

From the looks of it, Neve Campbell’s character has remarried and Patrick Dempsey’s Mark Kincaid is out of the picture.
