After giving Jayden Daniels more offensive help in the first round of the NFL draft by selecting Oregon tackle Josh Conerly Jr., the Washington Commanders shifted focus to the defense on day two, selecting Mississippi cornerback Trey Amos at No. 61.

Washington GM Adam Peters shared that the 2024 first-team All-SEC defender was in consideration with the team’s first-round selection.
