Jack Quinn scored twice in his hometown and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 35 saves as the Sabres beat the Senators, 4-0.

Alex Tuch scored twice, JJ Peterka had the deciding goal in the shootout and the Buffalo Sabres defeated the Washington Capitals 4-3 on on Monday night.

There's still a long way to go to make up for the 13-game losing streak, but at long last the Sabres are trending in the right direction.
