Defenseman Brock Faber scored a wraparound goal 35 seconds into overtime and the Minnesota Wild rallied from two goals down midway through the third period to beat the Dallas Stars 3-2.

The Dallas Stars face the Minnesota Wild Friday night at American Airlines Center for the second time this season. Entering Friday's match, the Stars are 20-13-0 while the Wild are 21-10-4. The teams face each other two more times this season on March 24 (Dallas) and April 6 (Minnesota).

Dallas Stars forward Mason Marchment is facing a four-week absence after suffering fractures in his nose and facial area.

Dallas blew a two-goal lead in the third period to the Minnesota Wild and ultimately fell 3-2 in overtime. Brock Faber beat Wyatt Johnston and scored the game-winning goal on the wraparound.

Kaprizov has been one of the league's top players this season — and its fourth-leading scorer, with 23 goals and 50 points.

The Minnesota Wild have added defensemen Jonas Brodin and Brock Faber to their list of key injured players and left them out of the lineup for their game against Colorado.

But the Wild flipped the game in the third with two goals in a 57-second span — one by Jonas Brodin (his first since Nov. 19) and a Marcus Foligno redirection — to tie the game. And that’s when Brock Faber stole the show.

The Stars are reportedly under NHL investigation over concerns of a collective bargaining agreement violation.

Kaprizov is tied for second in the NHL with 23 goals and tied for fourth in points with 50. He leads the league this season with six multi-goal games.
