Indiana never gave in. USC led 70-61 with 2:15 left, but a 3-pointer by Moore-McNeil finally ended Indiana’s field goal drought and a jumper by Bargesser with 1:25 left gave Indiana a chance and cut the deficit to four, 70-66.

Indiana was turned into a jump-shooting team by USC in the fourth quarter. The Trojans dared IU to make 3-pointers. The Hoosiers didn’t make enough.

BLOOMINGTON, IND. — JuJu Watkins scored 22 points and Rayah Marshall added 13 points and 10 rebounds to help the No. 4-ranked USC women’s basketball team overcome an 11-point deficit and hold on for a 73-66 victory over Indiana in a Big 10 Conference showdown on Sunday.

Indiana women’s basketball hosted No. 4 USC inside Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall on Sunday looking to rebound from a 14-point loss on its home floor just three days ago. Despite the Hoosiers leading by double digits in the first half and by 4 points in the fourth quarter, they fell 73-66 to the Trojans in Bloomington.

The USC Trojans travel to the Midwest to face a red-hot Indiana Hoosiers team on Wednesday, Jan. 8 at Assembly Hall. Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on The Big Ten Network.
