Auburn Tigers player of the year candidate Johni Broome had a surprise for him on his car Saturday morning before the game vs. the Tennessee Volunteers.

Brandon Anderson, a four-star offensive lineman, had been committed to Tennessee since Oct. 20, the morning after the Vols beat Alabama.

Johni Broome is back, and Auburn is still on top of the SEC. The Tigers picked up their 11th straight win on Saturday night when they beat Tennessee 53-51. It marked Broome’s first game back from an ankle injury. He had a team-high 16 points and 13 rebounds off the bench in the win, which marked the lowest point total the Tigers have had all year.

Auburn senior forward/center Johni Broome earned his fifth career SEC Player of the Week award, and Texas freshman guard was awarded the SEC Freshman of the Week honors Monday.
