Hideki Matsuyama can increase his lead on the PGA Tour money list this week at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif., which begins on Wednesday and ends on Saturday because of the NFL conference championship games on Sunday.

The first full-field event begins this week on the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup schedule at the Sony Open in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Hideki Matsuyama held onto his lead on the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup points race with a tie for 16 th at the Sony Open last week giving him 49 points, adding that to the 700 points he earned the week before when he won the season-opening Sentry and the first of the Tour’s Signature Events.
