Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes can't seem to catch a break. In recent years, NFL Network has habitually used Mahomes' 2017 40-yard dash time in their Simulcam to illustrate how fast (or slow) players are at the combine.
The NFL simply won't let Patrick Mahomes enjoy the scouting combine in peace. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback didn't have the best showing during his attempt at the 40-yard dash at the scouting combine back in 2017.
In March of 2022, Mahomes responded to NFL Network using video of his performance in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine in 2017 as an overlay compared to Desmond Ridder, Marcus Mariota and Russell Wilson. Y’all didn’t have to put me in that group getting left like that 😂😂😂 https://t.co/SdNdZDtFhp
This move by Kansas City comes just a month after the Chiefs’ offensive line gave up six sacks to the Eagles in the Super Bowl. Fans on social media quickly questioned Veach's decision, expressing their concerns moving forward for two-time NFL MVP Patrick Mahomes.
