Neil Robertson secured his place in the English Open final with a dominant 6-1 win over Chris Wakelin at the Brentwood Centre on Saturday evening. He takes a step closer to a long awaited 24th ranking title but will have to get the better of Wu Yize who has a chance of a first after a 6-0 whitewash victory over Ishpreet Singh Chadha.

Neil Robertson withstood a terrific comeback from Wu Yize to secure the English Open crown in Brentwood, eventually winning a brilliant final 9-7.

It's semi-finals day at the English Open after a set of four quarter-finals which were crammed with drama. Mark Selby, Mark Allen, Barry Hawkins and reigning champion Judd Trump all crashed out on a Saturday characterised by upsets.
