The trial of Bargain Hunt and Flog It! auctioneer Charles Hanson is continuing today at Derby Crown Court where his wife Rebecca Hanson has taken the stand to testify against her TV star husband.

Hanson denies charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating and engaging and controlling and coercive behaviour. Rebecca Hanson was in the witness box has been giving evidence.

Mrs Hanson told the hearing there was an incident at their home where they began arguing about him putting too many logs on the fire and when she challenged him he "threatened to put burning embers" on her. She said: "It is difficult to stand up to Charles because he does what he wants.”
