Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt was named as a finalist for the Associated Press NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award on Thursday, but the oddsmakers do not expect him to win it.
Along with Barkley and Baun, the Eagles had Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean named finalists for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Defensive coordinator Vic Fangio is up for Assistant Coach of the Year.
The NFL announced Thursday the finalists for this season's individual awards including Most Valuable Player and Player of the Year on offense and defense.
