Matthew Broderick and his son, James Wilkie Broderick, join Elsbeth this week, and TV Insider is exclusively debuting a first look at Broderick facing off with Carrie Preston ‘s Elsbeth Tascioni in the episode airing this Thursday, February 20 on CBS.

James Wilkie is the eldest of Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker’s three children — the longtime couple also shares two daughters, Marion and Tabitha. Aside from a small part in AppleTV+’s Lady In the Lake, the Elsbeth role marks one of James Wilkie’s first acting jobs. Looks like he’s following confidently in his mom and dad’s footsteps!
