UW has a chance to avenge an 86-80 loss to the Illini in December and extend its winning streak to five games.

The Illinois basketball team was no match for No. 11 Wisconsin on Tuesday at Kohl Center. The Illini got as close as five points behind in the first 90 seconds of the second half, then wilted the rest of the way while Wisconsin guard John Tonje poured in a game-high 31 points to lead the Badgers to a 95-74 victory in Madison,

Wisconsin (21-5, 11-4 Big Ten) had lost its last nine matchups with the Fighting Illini, including an 86-80 defeat Dec. 10 at Illinois. Wisconsin had won 15 straight meetings immediately before that stretch.
