The Beavers' 2025 roster continues to take shape with more adds through the transfer portal and a recent NCAA JC waiver.

Now with the Tulane Green Wave, former Oregon Duck quarterback Ty Thompson is withdrawing his name from the transfer portal with an added position change to boot.

Tuesday started out with Oregon landing a transfer commitment from Florida State wide receiver Malik Benson, the former No. 1 JUCO player in the nation. Just a few hours later, they then had wide receiver Evan Stewart, one of the most talented players on the team, announce that he is returning to Eugene in 2025 for one more year with the Ducks.

The Oregon Ducks landed another massive player of need out of the transfer portal on Tuesday, getting a commitment from former Tulane Green Wave running back Makhi Hughes. Hughes, who rushed for 1,401 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2024, will come to Eugene and play a huge role for the Ducks in 2025 as a redshirt junior with two years of eligibility.

Inside linebacker, running back and wide receiver are spots UO could be addressing in the coming weeks as additional players enter the transfer portal.

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane quarterback Ty Thompson withdrew his name from the transfer portal on Tuesday. Thompson has one year of eligibility remaining. He originally entered the portal December 11th, and still started for the Green Wave in the team’s 33-8 loss to Florida in the Gasparilla Bowl.
