Airlines in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and Singapore cancelled flights to and from the Indonesian resort island of Bali on Wednesday, after a nearby volcano catapulted an ash tower miles into the sky.

Several Australian airlines have canceled flights to and from the popular Indonesian vacation island of Bali after an erupting volcano gushed a column of hot ash miles into the sky.

According to the Changi Airport website, three Jetstar flights from Bali to Singapore on Wednesday were cancelled. The flights were originally scheduled to arrive at 2.15am, 1.30pm, and 9.15pm.
