Takeover, the latest season for the first-person battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment. Players will be able to take on Creator Commissions made by popular Apex Legends creators to attain rewards for completing difficult obstacles in-game.

For Apex Legends' new season, "Takeover," devs say they're shaking up the meta and adding some new abilities to existing legends.

However, don’t expect “Apex 2.0” to arrive anytime soon. Wilson confirmed that the “more major update” will only be launched after the next Battlefield game, likely to keep both of the publisher’s shooters from cannibalising each other in terms of retaining players. As EA puts it, “we probably wouldn't drop that on top of a Battlefield launch.”

Respawn is bringing a lot to Season 24 of Apex Legends, including overhauls to Assault class characters, anti-cheat measures, and more.
