Competing for our affection, the Super Bowl loses to Carnival, every time
Since the Super Bowl is always played in February, the game falls during the Carnival season, which starts on Jan. 6 and lasts for forty days. That means that, as much as we’ll be cheering for our favorite team on Super Bowl Sunday, we’ll cheer even louder at the 30-plus Carnival parades that roll nearly every day and night through Fat Tuesday.
