Pete Carroll took over losing teams in each of his last two coaching spots, the USC Trojans collegiately and the Seattle Seahawks in the NFL, and got them both back into the postseason in his first season.

The former head coach of the Seahawks has plenty of his former players still employed in the NFL. A reunion with a veteran defender would make sense.

Seahawks will undeniably possess interest in following Carroll’s tenure with the Raiders closely. Carroll was historically in charge of the Seahawks for 13 seasons. He compiled a record of 137-89-1, winning Super Bowl XLVIII in 2013.

The Raiders are hiring University of Washington offensive coordinator Brennan Carroll to be their offensive line coach and run game coordinator, as first reported by Yogi Roth of the Big Ten Network and confirmed by ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg.
