The New York Giants are currently preparing to make the No. 3 pick in the 2025 NFL draft. Meanwhile, their former star running back Saquon Barkley is celebrating winning Super Bowl LIX with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Giants GM Joe Schoen infamously called Barkley and told him to test his worth on the open market. The rest is history. Saquon left. He joined the Eagles. The Eagles won the Super Bowl. The Giants stunk and are now picking No. 3 in the NFL Draft.

You might notice that Schoen didn’t actually answer the question, which was asked directly of him. And part of the reason is there is no answer after Barkley’s departure from the Giants last offseason worked out as poorly as it could have for the Giants.
