Liv Golf is on the move, leaving The CW for a new multi-year rights deal with Fox Sports. It is a major upgrade in terms of broadcast reach for the upstart golf league, which is backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

The agreement marks the first time the startup league will air on a major sports TV network in the U.S. since its inception in 2022.

LIV announced on Thursday that it had reached a multi-year media rights agreement with FOX Sports to televise all 54 holes of its 14-tournament schedule, beginning Feb. 6-8 with the opening tournament of LIV's fourth season at the Riyadh Golf Club in Saudi Arabia.

Jupiter's Brooks Koepka said joining with FOX Sports is a "huge win" for the golf league that remains in competition with the PGA Tour for the interests of golf fans. LIV Golf and the PGA Tour are in ongoing negotiations to combine commercial businesses and rights into a new for-profit company.
