The Chicago Cubs have made a decision on whether or not their top prospect will be making their first trip of the season.

"I’ve been preparing for this opportunity for my entire life," the 23-year-old Shaw said of making Chicago's travel roster.

Shaw, a first-round pick in the 2023 draft, had the inside track to become the Opening Day third baseman entering spring training.
