MOORESVILLE, N.C. – A local woman is charged with murder in the death of her toddler. Riley Wormington is accused of letting her child under two-years-old ingest a lethal dose of fentanyl. Despite life-saving efforts from first responders, the toddler died February 13th at a home on Ridge Avenue in Mooresville.

A woman was arrested in Denver, CO, in connection with the death of her child, who died from fentanyl toxicity in Mooresville last year.
