I dunno, bud. It seems to me Joey Diaz made up a gangster personae based on movies he enjoyed as a kid. He then parlayed this bs personality into a career, knowing people in LA would eat it up. Never seen him with a real convict, never seen a real mugshot. Never saw any jail papers or court cases.

May 3, 2018 · Came here just for this. Diaz is just vulgar. Zero talent in that. I also think Joe is a terrible comedian. His stand up is boring and when you listen to his podcast when a real comedian is on they make you laugh. Joe never makes me laugh at all. He's good at interviews but I don't think Joe is a comedian at all.

Oh yeah for sure. Joey still is a hustler at heart so I could definitely see him trying to get some more funds going for Mercy. I remember on the old church Joey and Lee were going over how the hell to explain everything to Mercy when she starts listening to his insane stories on the internet and that Uncle Lee isn’t this innocent guy.
